Grande was born in New York, but was raised in Englewood, New Jersey and at the age of ten moved to Boca Raton, Florida with his mother. There he enrolled in Pine Crest Middle School. His half-sister is the well known pop artist Ariana Grande. In 2005 he graduated from Muhlenberg College situated in Pennsylvania; he has three majors which include biology, dance and theare.

His career started as early as 2007, appearing in the show “Dora the Explorer” as Boots the Monkey, and later in roles in productions of “George M”, “A Chorus Line” and others. Subsequently that year he appeared on Broadway in a production of “Mamma Mia”, which propelled his career sky high, increasing his fame and net worth in the next few years. He was named Mr. Broadway in the charity benefit under the same name in 2007.

Following the success of his Broadway career, he moved to a career as a producer, which resulted in theatre shows like “Hamlet“ in 2009, “La bete” in 2010 to 2011, and “Born Yesterday” in 2011.
