Growing up in Chicago neighborhood of Austin, he experienced the satisfaction of the audience when he was only 12, while appearing in such theatrical productions as “Kasimu & the Coconut Palm”, as a part of the ETA Creative Arts Foundation. Two years later he featured in the play “Eden”, which caught the attention of a talent agent, and in no time, Kel was on board a plane flying to Florida to appear on Nickelodeon for the first time. His first appearance was in the TV series “All That” (1994-1999), and two years later he was cast in the spin-off entitled “Kenan & Kel” (1996-2000), with Kenan Thomspon. Kel’s career progressed quite impressively, which resulted in new notable roles, such as the role of Ed in the comedy film “Good Burger” in 1997, then the Invisible Boy in the comedy fantasy film “Mystery Men” (1999), starring Ben Stiller, Janeane Garofalo and William H. Macy, while the following year, he gave voice to T-Bone in the animated TV series “Clifford the Big Red Dog” through 2003, which only increased his net worth.   • I passed up a lot of work ’cause a lot of movies that may be out there right now I passed em up because there may have been a lot of cussin’ in ’em.
