Four years later she made her TV debut as Lizzie Spaulding in the soap opera “Guiding Light” (2002-2003). Despite making her way into television work, MacKenzie continued with her theatre career, and continues to make successful appearances until the present day.

In 2008 she portrayed The Seamstress in the musical “A Tale of Two Cities”, based on the novel by Charles Dickens, which is one of her most prominent theatre roles, then was the lead star in the musical “White Noise”, and portrayed Claire “Luz” Benedict in the musical “Giant”, among other appearances, which consistently increased her wealth.
