Clark Kellogg grew up in Ohio and went to Chambers Elementary, W.H. Kirk Middle School, and St. Joseph High School in Cleveland, where he was the best player on the basketball team. From 1979 to 1982, Clark studied at the Ohio State University, where he was named to the All-Big Ten Conference and Most Valuable Player while in the uni’s basketball team.
The Indiana Pacers selected Kellogg as the 8th overall pick in the 1982 NBA Draft, and he was an instant hit after averaging over 20 points and ten rebounds per game, securing a place in the NBA All-Rookie Team. Clark was dubbed to become the next NBA superstar, and even Converse signed a deal with him, but knee problems forced him to retire from basketball after playing only three full seasons. Still, these years were a solid base for his net worth.
In 1990, Kellogg started his career at ESPN as a basketball analyst and also began working as a TV analyst for the Pacers. He joined CBS Sports in 1993 to work as a studio co-host, covering the NCAA Tournament until 1997. Clarks served as a lead basketball announcer too, after replacing Billy Packer for the 2008–2009 college basketball season, and worked alongside Jim Nantz in the 2009 NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship; all added steadily to his net worth.
