Zab started boxing when he was only six years old. His trainer was his own father, Yoel Judah. Even from a very young age Judah gained best results. He won the New York Golden Gloves championship three times, and national championship twice. He finished his amateur career with an impressive win-loss record of 110-5.

In 1996 he started his professional boxing career. Step by step he improved his skills and gained more experienced. In 1998 he won the USBA Light Welterweight title and this had a huge impact on the growth of Zab’s net worth. One year later he won the IBF Light Welterweight title and again was able to prove that he is one of the best boxers. In 2001 Zab had a controversial fight with Kostya Tzysu. Unfortunately, Zab lost this fight by TKO, but became furious, attacked the referee and was suspended from boxing for six months.
