Warren was educated at the Trinity Presbyterian High School in Montgomery, Alabama. Later, he enrolled at Washington and Lee University from which he graduated with a Bachelor‘s degree majoring in Economics. Afterwards, he graduated from Wake Forest University earning an MBA degree.
