George is of Egyptian, and Lebanese ancestry, as both his parents were Lebanese, while his father also had Egyptian blood in his veins. George grew up in Dearborn Heights, alongside his two younger sisters, and was raised as Roman Catholic. However, from an early age he showed interest in ufology and the paranormal, which only intensified as he got older. After finished high school, George enrolled at the University of Detroit, majoring in Communications, and graduating with his bachelors degree in 1972. Soon after he found his first job as a newscaster on the WCAR-AM, and in the period from 1974 until 1978 he was the news producer and executive news producer at the WJBK-TV in Detroit. Several years later, George was appointed as news director for KMSP-TV in Minneapolis, and also as the news director at KSDK-TV in ST. Louis.

His career on radio and TV was just starting, but he had already made a name for himself, winning three local Emmy Awards. In the mid-1990s, George was the host of the late-night radio program “Nighthawk” on KTRS, which was soon brought to the attention of executives of the Premiere radio Networks, who are syndicators of Coast to Coast AM. As his “Nighthawk” was becoming more and more popular, George was asked to guest host the Coast to Coast AM for the first time in 2001, and two years later he was appointed as the weeknight host of the show, replacing Art Bell who retired. This has largely increased his net worth over time.

Since then, George has become popular when it comes to ufo topics, as he is featured in some of the best television shows which deal with the particular topic, including “Ancient Aliens” (2009-2016), and also in 2012 he was the host of the show “Beyond Belief with George Noory” on the Gaiam TV, and has also featured in several documentary films – “Predictions with George Noory” (2006), “Into the Unknown with George Noory” (2007), and “As Timeless as Infinity: The Twilight Zone Legacy” (2014), among others, all of which have increased his net worth.
