Then, he worked for the magazine Spin, just before becoming executive vice president of Disney Publishing Group. His career in ESPN John Skipper began in the summer of 1997, subsequently being appointed as the senior vice-president and general manager of ESPN The Magazine. Skipper was in charge of launching the magazine, which soon became a hit in the 1990s.
