In 2006, ASAP Yams formed the group A$AP Mob, in which a lot of people were featured, and he served as the group’s executive producer. First members of the group were A$AP Illz and A$AP Bari, and the collective would later include A$AP Rocky, A$AP Ferg, A$AP Nast and A$AP Twelvyy, among others. In 2012 he produced ‘’Lords Never Worry’’, the debut mixtape of the mentioned group with which they entered the music world, featuring 18 songs such as ‘’Thuggin’ Noise’’ and ‘’Full Metal Jacket’’. However, the mixtape received mostly negative response from critics and the audience, being harshly spoken of by one critic for ‘’poor execution of the beats”. ASAP Yam’s next project was the solo album of ASAP Rocky – ‘’Long. Live. The album achieved vast success, entering multiple charts such as Top 50 Albums of 2015, and The 50 Best Hip-Hop Albums of 2015 in addition to peaking at number one on the US Billboard 200 chart, and being certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America for selling over 500,000 copies. At that point, it was safe to say that ASAP Yams had a promising career ahead of him, however…

… when it comes to his private life, ASAP Yams didn’t share a lot of information on that topic. He was active on social media such as Twitter, having more than 140,000 followers. In January 2015 he passed away in Los Angeles, California – the causes of his death were unclear, but his former friend and colleague, ASAP Rocky said that he died as the result of sleep apnea, asphyxiation and pulmonary aspiration.
