Charli attended Peirce College, and after graduating went on to become a certified paralegal. In 1995, she met The Notorious BIG and had a romantic relationship with him which eventually introduced her to the music industry. One of her first appearances was in the music video “Get Money” alongside Junor MAFIA, and she then released her first video, “Money” which became a hit; the song was part of the soundtrack of the movie “Woo”. Eventually, Baltimore started working on her debut album entitled “Cold as Ice” which also featured artists NORE and Cam’ron. She would have several hits including “NBC”, “Stand Up” and “Pimp Da 1 U Love”.

The album’s release encountered numerous problems, between artist and label, before it was promotionally released in 1999. However it didn’t make it to the public until 2009, finding availability as a digital download. She then took a five year break, later signing with Murder Inc. Records, but due to numerous problems she left the label. In 2006, she affiliated with The Black Wall Street Records and then collaborated with 50 Cent and The Game.

Later on, Charli would make guest appearances in various songs such as “No One Does it Better”, “Down 4 U” and “Down Ass Bitch”. She also appeared in the track “Spending Time” and the remix of Ashanti’s “Rain on Me”. In 2003, thanks to her work, she received a nomination for a Grammy Award for her single “Diary”. Five years later, she signed with The Inc. Records and started working on the album “True Lies”. She then released an EP on iTunes which featured songs such as “Lose It””, “PS”, and “Come Test Us” which featured Lil Wayne. She then made a guest appearance in the Trey Songz video “If I Die Tonight”. Her net worth was rising slowly.
