Talking about his childhood, Tritt took an interest in music after hearing his Sunday school choir perform “Everything Is Beautiful”. He taught himself how to play guitar, which he received at the age of eight, and after getting more practice and experience, he finally joined his church band which had occasional performances at other nearby churches. He started writing songs when he was attending Sprayberry High School, his first composition being a song about his recent break up with his girlfriend. During his teenage years, Tritt worked at a furniture store as a supermarket clerk. His parents re-married when he was eighteen, until then he had lived with his mother after his parents separated. With both of his parents skeptical about a successful future in country music, Tritt proved both of them wrong after signing a contract with Warner Bros, recording company, which would be his first major step in a mainstream career.

Tritt’s first single “Country Club”, spent 26 weeks on Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart. After that he would release seven albums under Warner Bros. His album “It’s All About To Change” went on to become triple platinum certified. His other albums “T-R-O-U-B-L-E”, “Ten Feet Tall”, “Bulletproof”, “The Restless Kind”, “Strong Enough” and others were also successful, contributing significantly to his net worth.

Tritt started his acting career in 1993, and made many appearances in movies and TV series. His work in music has been honored with two Grammys, one Billboard and many reputed country music awards.

Regarding his personal life, Tritt married Karen Ryon in September 1982, but even though she was his high school sweetheart, their marriage lasted only two years. He then married Jodi Barnett at the age of 21, when she was 33, but.this marriage also didn’t last long as the couple divorced in 1989. In April 1997, he married Theresa Nelson, and they have two sons and a daughter. So, with a net worth of $25 million, Tritt lives his life as a rich and famous artist while also being a family man.
