Little is known about Yuka’s life before she became an internet sensation.

She started her career as a competitive eater in 2009, and after several successful years, Yuka established her YouTube Channel in 2014. Since then, she has uploaded more than 1100 videos, which showcase her eating at least 5,000 calories in one meal, while in the extreme she has also filmed herself eating 23,000 calories. Obviously her unusual practice brought attention to her, and in no time, she achieved enormous popularity with 3.5 million subscribers and over one billion views. Although Yuka apparently eats far too much, she doesn’t have any health problems. She has done several blood tests, and all the results were fine. Furthermore, she visited her doctor’s surgery, and she was told that she has an inexplicably unique stomach, which somehow is capable of expanding to fill virtually all available space within her torso, without compromising her other internal organs.

She usual uploads edited videos that last only six to seven minutes, but most recently she started a live video practice, during which she records herself while eating, and uploads directly to her YouTube channel; this is called mukband, a Japanese tradition of live eating.

Aside from uploading videos and competing in eating competition events, Yuka has also done commercials for numerous restaurants in her native Japan, promoting those restaurants in which the eating contests take place, which has also increased her wealth.

Regarding her personal life, Yuka was in a relationship with another YouTube star, Hajime Syacho for six months, after which she broke-off the affair, perhaps fortuitously, as only a month later, it was revealed that her ex-boyfriend had cheated on her several times with a number of other women during their relationship.
